Because of Him, Feel the Bern




I am writing this post because I feel it's essential that I share my dual messages today, the week before Easter Sunday and two days away from our UT caucus. I send this message for the purpose of standing up for my beliefs and for you to share. If any of these views are not in keeping with your own beliefs, please do not reply or try to argue with me. I appreciate your caring for me, your other differing ideas and understanding and respect them. I am happy you are secure in your spiritual, religious and political ideals and applaud you for coming to these important tenets in your life. I ask you again, please do not comment in the negative about what I am saying in this post. Please do not personal message me. I am writing this post to tell my story and if it resonates with you or others you know who can benefit from it, invite you to share it.

I am a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I converted when I was 16. I believe it, love it and embrace its message that families can be together forever. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and trust Him to guide me in a way that makes me a more loving, kinder, happier person in my everyday life.

I am a registered Democrat and supported President Barack Obama in both recent elections. I went to the White House at a small gathering (The Gershwin Awards for Paul McCartney (http://www.pbs.org/video/1554730433/) and felt a very dynamic positive feeling in the presence of our president. 
This election, I support Bernie Sanders. I believe he is a man with integrity, who cares for all the people's best interest, who will take care to restore the middle class in our country, give everyone the opportunity to be completely physically healthy and be better educated. His very well-thought out plan to provide help for our seniors, babies and children who need to be in daycare, our veterans, minorities and women is Christlike and righteous. That he has the word Socialism behind his name worries me not one bit. I know he isn't going to tax those who don't make more than $250K any more than we are now. He has studied the model in the Scandinavian government systems and is going to implement that proven system here.

He has never backed down from a fight, he has maintained a scrupulously honest, strongly caring stance with integrity and grit. When I went to his rally last Fri (3/19/16) I stood with a group of passionate but respectful, caring, tenacious people from all walks of life: old and young, veterans, people in tie-dyed clothing and those in suits and ties, all ethnicities. People who carried all kinds of placards, including Mormons for Bernie.

I know that Bernie Sanders has the best chance of beating Donald Trump. I am also sure that those of you who are reading this who are leery of Bernie--if you suspend your doubt, your fears, your concerns, you will see he is miles better than Trump.

Finally, I leave my witness that Bernie Sanders, a Jew, represents my own important Christian values.
I wish all who believe have an inspirational and blessed Easter. He lives! And those who have caucuses and primaries to attend, I ask you to give Bernie Sanders your support.

    I hope many others read your testimony here. When they see how widely Bernie Sanders' message resonates with people of all faiths, all ethnicities, and ages, they will see how we so desperately need someone like him leading our country.

It is a few days after Bernie did not get the win we wanted in New York. And yet again, there were problems with voting. There were problems in Brooklyn, his stompin' grounds. There are lawsuits a-plenty. Am I being paranoid to say that something--AGAIN--smells fishy? I refuse to get discouraged. There are many true, honest, good people in place who are not going to stand for this and I consider myself to be one of them. #BWW--This Stands for #Bernie Would Have Won--and He Would Have

On Facebook, they have this, look back and see what's happened in years past thingie. "Your Memories on Facebook." I've enjoyed looking at my memories--what the weather was like it years past, when I've been able to ride because the weather was great, when I had to stay indoors when the weather wasn't. I have some weird posts like, "I have a secret and soon I'll be able to tell it," and I think, JEN, what was the secret??? The Easiness of Negativity, The Difficulty of Positivity

Today, as the dust settles on Bernie's fantastic victories in ID and UT and the sludge being dragged into the light about whatever it was that happened in Arizona and how can we fix it and will anyone even try to fix it, what I'm seeing is a lot of angry people. We all want to know what happened there--and elsewhere. Is the media not covering Bernie properly? Is Bernie as popular as Hillary? Or more? Things are getting stressed. My Hillary fan friends tell me all the reasons why she is so great, but in a rather vicious and almost superior way. Like, "Oh, you like Bernie. You're one of those. When you get more educated on the facts (meaning, reading the polls that favor Hillary), you'll see." My Bernie friends too are scrambling, looking for stats to prove he will be the president, which I actually think will happen.
